Grace was born and raised in Miami, FL. A ninth grade journalism course coupled with weekends spent watching Erin Andrews work the sidelines sparked her journey into sports media. In the Fall of 2013, she enrolled at her dream school, the University of Southern California's Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism. She graduated in the Spring of 2017 with a B.A. Broadcast & Digital Journalism and a minor in marketing from USC's Marshall School of Business. Upon graduation, Grace moved to New Orleans for a yearlong social media internship with the New Orleans Saints and New Orleans Pelicans.

Just as her internship was coming to a close, Grace lost her father to renal cell carcinoma, a form of kidney cancer. She moved back to Miami in the summer of 2018 to help support and be supported by her mother and younger brother as they all learned to live with their loss. After a series of job interviews and much personal reflection, Grace decided to create Douglas Digital, a boutique sports marketing business named after her father, who always urged her towards entrepreneurship and public relations.

She wishes he was here to tell her, "I told you so."
